If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? For me, the most compelling trips are the ones that take me over the threshold of a stranger’s home. From Maine to Mexico, Russia to Timbuktu, I want to peer inside and discover new ways of thinking and living. Read on for the backstory and official bio.

Architecture & Home Design Writing

Jackie Craven became fascinated by 19th century architecture when she purchased her first Victorian house in 1984. Over the years, she renovated several old buildings on her street. Specializing in architecture and home design, she wrote content for ThoughtCo (formally About.com) for 20 years. Her Architecture Coach columns appeared in the online journal for Realtor.org and she also contributed home style columns to House & Garden magazine, Old-House Journal, Country Victorian, Yankee Homes, and other magazines.  She’s the author of The Healthy Home and The Stress-Free Home, published by Rockport Publishers, reissued by Quarry Books, and translated into several languages.
